  • 07:40:21: is chilly. 41 outside. Brr.
  • 09:27:44: thought the nausea garbage was over. Seriously, self. Stop. *lies down*
  • 09:49:19: nearly threw up just now. This is irritating. And Spot is being a pill...
  • 10:55:24: is quite positive The Foot is out to get her. Not so positive that The Foot has a mate. Because she only ever feels The One.
  • 11:28:03: is heroically resisting the urge to eat chocolate. Spot is not resisting the urge to chew his toy mouse to shreds.
  • 12:44:02: got a message with the subject "Stinky Cheese". Should she trash it now, or else it will translate her documents into Swahili?
  • 12:46:31: @Zizzabeth HAHAHA! Kids need to be EDUCATED.
  • 12:47:14: is making vegan mac and cheese for lunch. And veggies of some kind as yet undetermined. Nothing sounds better, however, than sleep.
  • 14:58:59: is up from a nap that brought her no sleep, just a wiggly child.
  • 15:37:21: oh warm bath how i will love you in about two minutes
  • 16:29:51: succumbed and had a few chocolate chips. Don't judge. Peppermint tea sounds really good as well.
  • 22:59:35: is getting ready to go to lala land. The Oregon Adventist Men's Choir is at Lebanon church tomorrow. I want to go. Decisions, decisions.

In the early morning hours of hazy brain, between dozing and being woken up by the heat generated by an orange fuzzball, I heard "El Condor Pasa" playing in my head, but the words were:

I'd rather have a pitchfork in my brain,
Yes I would
If I could

I think I need psychoanalysis.

So... we got to the fair around four-thirty. They did not want me to bring in my glass water bottle. Mr Baldwin hid it in the grass. He casually informed me that "last time they came to see Weird Al they spent forever in the boring building with all the quilts and stuff". We looked at animals. I casually pulled out my map to find out where the quilts and stuff were. Somebody made noises, but we went off in search of it. We never did find it, but we did find the photography building and looked at some of the rides. I tried not to throw up watching people riding them.

I was surprised that the fair was really not very much larger than the Yakima fair. I couldn't believe there was no arts and crafts/food building or ag building or anything. The map was really unspecific about where things were, though. Oh well.

One of the games was a ring toss onto bottlenecks. The prize was an enormous stuffed tiger, either a snow tiger or an orange one. They were really beautiful - not like your typical carnival fare. *sniff* I'm such a lousy throw, though. I never would have won one anyway.

About seven-thirty we joined the thundering herd of humanity flocking to the Pavilion for Weird Al.

We headed home right afterwards. My bottle was unharmed.

We do not care to admit how many photos we took of Weird Al.

Naturally, most of those are not going to be any good. We were at a strange angle to the stage and it was, of course, dark.

More later. But just for the record, he does really engulf the stage in bubbles.

I am so not awake. Three late nights in a row.
