Well, although I did not do EVERYTHING on my list, my kitchen is sparkling clean and the table is clear except for my thing of furniture polish and the two latest magazines.

I got on a sidetrack project of removing all my DVDs from their cases. Dan ordered me a wallet thing to keep all of them in because the two shelves they're on are just really being space eaters. Figured we would take them to Deseret along with the rest of this junk he brought back from the homestead. So I have all the papers and booklets in a box now and I'm amazed at how much LESS space they will take up in my life in a wallet.

I did take out one bag of paper to the recycling. It is raining. I am using this as my excuse to not take out the rest.

Dan managed to go through some of this stuff. I think I'm going to need to prod him along to help me take the stuff to the car that will be going to Deseret. I really can't clean the living room until this stuff is relocated. I should take a picture. It's as bad or worse as any mess *I* ever had here.

[livejournal.com profile] paularidgeway made me this Deanna icon yesterday. I believe it will come in useful, although Space Cadet is hardly appropriate for Deanna herself. She's da bestest. I'm still not really into her and Riker as a couple, though. Riker is slowly becoming less annoying, but I have to say I'm more intrigued by Deanna+Worf. I know, I'm weird. But seriously... Riker is such a womaniser. Irritating. If he was more focused on Deanna, it would be different...

The following bit of dialogue was pretty priceless, though. From "The Game" (which was really good).

Riker: Chocolate ice cream, chocolate fudge and chocolate chips. You're not depressed, are you?
Troi: I'm fine, Commander.
Riker: Would you like me to leave you two alone?

Troi: I never met a chocolate I didn't like.

How to eat a chocolate sundae: First of all, you have to spoon the fudge around the rim, leaving only the ice cream in the middle. Then you gently spoon the ice cream around the sides, like you're sculpting it. Relish every bit, make every one an event, and then, with the last spoonful, close your eyes.
Riker: I had no idea it was such a ritual.
Troi: Chocolate is a serious thing.

I think I need a Deanna chocolate icon. I will reward myself with one when I have concluded the cropping of my 2000 photos. (The year 2000, that is, not the number of photos.)

Oh, and I was asking Dan what he would do if he was to write an episode of Star Trek. He said he didn't know but it would involve someone being trapped somewhere. He asked me what I would do and I said I was intrigued with the idea of picking two characters that didn't seem at all in cohesion with each other and put them in a situation together, like Data and Worf. Then again, almost anyone plus Worf would make for an interesting hour of entertainment. I got a great amusement out of "Disaster" when Worf had to deliver a baby. "You have dilated 10cm. You may now give birth." Um... anyway.

As Ginny would say, Isssssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuues.

I felt so sorry for Keko in that episode. *shudder* Exactly who I want to deliver my baby, Worf. Bleck.

Indeed. The last thing I'm sure I'll care about in the process of birth giving will be technical information.

After completing the last paragraph, I thought to myself, "ISSSUUUUUUUUEEEEESSSSSSS."

I love knowing what you will think to yourself after completing the last paragraph.

Yeah! Someone I can talk Trek too! Deanna is my favorite Female Trek character:) Although I have to admit that the whole Imzadi deal fits me better then Deanna/Worf. I like Worf with Jadxia. Or atleast the little bit I've seen so far. I hold the right to change my mind when I finally enter DS9 stuff. Right now I'm just rewatching TNG.

Heh. Worf and Data always say interesting things. I just love how Brent Spiner can put things into Data's eyes without causing his face to show emotion. Granted it gets interesting when Data gets a emotion chip.

What did you think of Data/Tasha?

Dan's mostly into TNG, so that's all I've really seen at this point... Not sure who Imzadi is.

I'm not hugely into Tasha, but I do think Data's devotion to her is quite adorable...

Imzadi is Will/Deanna. Imzadi is the Betazoid term for beloved, or soulmate. Will & Deanna refer to each other by that, even when they aren't together. Apparently they have a telepathic connection that comes and goes (which I can't figure out if its the writing or if they intend to have it like that).

The thing about Will/Deanna is that they spend about 6 years in denial, with a couple attempts at a relationship. Will ran scared the first time, but after that it was usually Deanna who said no. And both had plenty of dates in the mean time. They finally figure things out in Insurrection, after she breaks off things with Worf. In the last movie, they are married and both transfer to the USS Titan where Will's the captian.

Tasha is hard to get into since she's only on the show for teh first season and a couple episodes afterwards. Her relationship with Data amuses me.

Ahhh... I see. Hmmm... Will may grow on me in time. Sometimes he's more likeable than others...

I guess its personal preference. I like Worf, but when it comes to having a romance I prefer him Jadzia from the few snipts I have seen. I really should watch some DS9. I'll have to add that after I finish with TNG and Voyager.

Are you watching in order? or a mix mash? I'm trying to watch it in order this time aroudn and I've been noticing things I hadn't before (like Will's tendency to step over the back of the chair in the ready-room)

I've not really watched in order at all. Dan just picks ones he likes and we watch them, so I've seen bits and pieces from several seasons. If it was just me, I'd probably watch in order. Someday perhaps I will.

You should. You pick up on things.

Like the fact that Will never sits on a chair like a normal person. He always walks over it.

And sometimes they have a lead up to an episode a few episodes before. (and here is another Will Riker example) In one season 2 episode, it starts with Will cooking eggs for his friends himself instead of the replicator. He explains he learned how to cook because his father hated cooking and his mother had died when he was younger. Then the next episode had Kyle Riker show up.

I'm going back and realising how many comments I haven't answered. *cough* Dan and I were just talking this evening about going through the series in order, though!

Its a good idea:) I'm going through Enterprise right now (I'm almost finished...on season 4 right now).
