* Reply to this post with ICON ME! and I will pick five of your icons.
* Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
* Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
* This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee...

1.
This is just about my favourite picture of Barbara Stanwyck ever and one of the few icons I'm still using in this journal that I made whilst I was still [livejournal.com profile] roses_for_ann. It just embodies all excitement in such a tiny picture. Perfection.

2.
James Cagney and George Raft in "Each Dawn I Die", part of this set I made some time ago. The bond between the two characters is one that never fails to move me. Leave it to a prison movie. "We Carry On" is the name of a country song I was into around that time.

3.
Since making this icon, I have come to realise that it is not, in fact, a mandolin Ronald Colman is playing here, but the keyword is and ever will be "ronniemandolin". It is such a peaceful, contemplative picture to me and I use it often. From the lost silent movie "The Magic Flame", if I remember correctly. <3

4.
Rosey is one of the lead characters in the (now, sadly, dusty) Adventures of Firefox. AKA - ME.

5.
[livejournal.com profile] paularidgeway found this one, a quote from "Pirates of the Caribbean". It is so... useful. Because weirdness abounds.

Hi. I stepped over from [livejournal.com profile] eattheolives to see your icon comments. I would never have recognized either Barbara Stanwyck or Ronald Coleman from these shots--but they are great images. That's pretty amazing artistry that gets a banjo to look dreamy!

Hi! I remember you from the Jane Eyre readalong Ruth hosted on LJ a couple years ago. :-)

You are so right about the Ronald one. I think it must be the fact that he looks so peaceful and pensive, rather than like he's having the rollicking good time one usually has with a banjo!
