Jam.

Right now I'm baking a cherry crisp with a layer of Granny Smith apples on top. The crisp part is looking kind of dry. I tried olive oil instead of melting butter because a) we are out of butter and b) I could use Smart Balance but wanted to be creative. I think maybe a little more was in order. Hard to say though. It smells delicious anyway. AND it used up several cups of cherries.
I may do a cobbler too, but crisp calls for fewer utensils.
EDIT: If I had been smart, I would have put the cherries on top. They are wetter. I wonder if the apples cooked at all? Does this mean I have to dig in and eat some to find out? Hmm.
