I loved McCoy. And Spock was a jerk, too... I guess that actor didn't impress me that much one way or another. He wasn't a bad actor, but neither did I feel much connection to Spock the way I do when Nimoy plays him.
I did think the subplot of Uhura/Spock was weird. It seemed to come out of nowhere almost...
