Hmmm.

So, I've got this sudden urge to play the violin.

Not so sudden. It's something I've wanted to do for years but always figured it'd have to wait until I get to heaven and have eternity to learn because it would take that long, right?

I dunno though... now I feel like I want to just go ahead and go for it. HOWEVER... I am dismayed to discover that the standard mode of playing is fingering with left hand, bowing with right. My left hand is practically useless to me, though I can type with it. I've vetoed the idea of ever playing the piano because I can't control that hand very well, but I wonder if maybe not having to use both hands might make it easier for my brain and hand to work together. I *am* right handed... so it seems the standard way should technically be the right way for me.

Anyone have any experience or wisdom to share?

I'm not out to be Yehudi Menuhin or anything. Pretty much all I want to do is be able to play simple folk-type songs or hymns for church, and would be content if that's as good as I got.

Not much has happened today besides my just being exhausted.
