verity83I should take Spotkins for a walk. However, I have a pair of pies in the oven which must be carefully tended and a huge pie-related mess to clean up on the counter. Seriously, why does pie making have to be so messy? I have a bowl of apple leavings, flour drifts, stray bits of leftover pastry, and any number of measuring apparatuses.
I barely had enough shortening, too. That was an adventure.
All I can say is, we better find SOMEONE to come for lunch tomorrow.

polargriff, I finished chapter 1 this morning. I have some things I want to post about it, tonight if possible. :-)
